About

I’m a fashion and beauty feature writer for Devon Life and Exeter Life and I’ve previously worked as a marketing editor for a fashion and lifestyle ecommerce business, a digital writer for Harper’s Bazaar, a digital content producer at House of Fraser and as a freelance contributor/ consultant for The National Trust, Cosmopolitan, allaboutyou.com, Men’s Health, The Times T2, The Saturday Times Magazine and InStyle.

Beyond my career, my interests are far-reaching; notably I am passionate about art and beauty in many forms. I studied Musical Theatre at The Arts Educational School in Tring whilst taking my A-levels. Following a gap year, I attended Royal Holloway University of London and graduated in 2008 with a first-class honours BA degree in Theatre Studies, for which I completed my dissertation based on the practice of arts therapies amongst patients with psychological disorders.

My husband and I recently relocated to Devon where I aim to balance my working life with family time, whilst continuing to nurture my interests and develop my skills. I chose The little White Diamond as the title for this website because since I married my husband, Diamond is my name. Lastly, this by-no-means exhaustive list includes some of my favourite things in life (in no particular order);

I love candles, sunsets, champagne, Chanel, Ilia lip-glosses, kittens (especially my cats Tinkerbelle, Tackleberry and Squeaky), writing about fashion, organic skincare, painting, strawberries, watching gilded leaves dance in autumn, old libraries, crab salad, Tata Harper cleanser, pink peonies or white lilies, dresses by Zac Posen and Roland Mouret (because they really know how to make a woman feel her best), Ellie Goulding, ylang-ylang, baking bread (and wedding cakes), Charlotte Olympia heels, music by Jackson Browne, egg and cress sandwiches, novels by Isabel Allende, Bill Bailey, Breaking Bad, jogging, long walks with my bestie (or Banjo the Lakeland terrier), period dramas, learning something new, dancing (anywhere), Game Of Thrones, the rolling hills of the English countryside, lyrics by Lana Del Rey, watching movies with my hubby, my dad’s apple and raspberry crumble, Disney movies, Shakespeare in the park, Frank Sinatra, novels by Helen Dunmore, The Honest Company, pyjamas, dressing up at Halloween, The Tracy Anderson Method, Indian takeaways, Paige denim, Mariah Carey, Bonpoint babywear, The Walking Dead, seafood, listening to Sergei Rachmaninoff, eggy bread or French toast, deserted sandy beaches, authenticity, Diane Keaton, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, shopping the Net-a-Porter winter sale, shopping at the Outnet all year round, shopping the Harvey Nics winter Sale, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Jessie Ware, watching Christmas movies with my bestie, discovering new music, making cards for my loved ones (because it’s frugal and it really shows you care), silk lingerie by Myla, gallery-hopping with my mum, antique furniture, Mint Velvet, watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Florence or pretty much anywhere in Tuscany, coconut water, songs by Maxwell, Twin Peaks, blackberry picking, Goldie Hawn, avocados, decorating a real Christmas tree, J Brand denim, naps in the afternoon, Nigella Lawson, Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary in Australia, freshly baked scones with butter and strawberry jam, … and on it goes!
